I am
now a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I joined Multimedia Operating
Systems and Networking (MONET)
group in Spring 2006. My thesis advisor is
Professor
Klara Nahrstedt. My research is about content distribution in mobile Peer-to-Peer networks. In other words, I explore the social structure of humans to improve data dissemination and data exchange among their personal wireless devices. |

- My paper "Exploiting Schelling Behavior for Improving Data Accessibility in Mobile Peer-to-Peer Networks" is accepted by Mobiquitous 2008. This year, there are 18 accepted papers out of 105 submissions, the acceptance rate is 17%. (May 11, 2008) - My group mate, Thadpong, and I win the best prizes for the 2008 Computing Habitat Programming Competition organized by the Department of Computer Science, UIUC. Our project is "iLectures", which provides a video search engine and annotation tool. iLectures allows users to search for text from images and stream the video lectures collected by our department. (April 23, 2008) - As many researchers in Brazil, France, Korea, China, USA and Taiwan email and request for the PPLive crawler code. We decide to release the PPLive crawler code. Click here to go to the PPLive project page and download the code. (April 18,2008)
