Fall 1996
3111 DCL, 4-6624, klara@cs.uiuc.edu
Description:
The seminar will cover papers with specific issues of resource

The papers describe and we will discuss lower level protocols and services
for high-speed networks such as ATM as well as higher level protocols and
services for support of distributed multimedia applications. In more depth,
we will discuss resource reservation, admission, monitoring and adaptation
mechanisms, network scheduling algorithms, bandwidth management approaches,
video characterization and modeling/simulation of video traffic.
Evaluation:
Each student will present several
