Description:
The seminar will cover papers with selected topics in the area of multimedia
systems and security. The papers will be in the areas of multimedia
OS, video on demand storage, multimedia channel-source coding, multimedia wireless, transport protocols for multimedia in wired and wireless networks, QoS routing protocols for support of multimedia networking, multimedia
security, multimedia middleware, system security for multimedia applications,
HDTV process and distribution, multimedia support for ubiquitous computing,
QoS management, multimedia languages, their underlying
system support, and mobile multimedia systems.
Evaluation:
Each student must present several
papers. Each student will find three papers which he/she wants to present and
submit the proposal of the papers by email to professor Nahrstedt
(klara@cs.uiuc.edu) by September 9. The grades of presentations will
be based on the paper presentation (50%) and participation in discussions
(50%).
